This Sunday and Monday is the Westbrook Horse Show and CHSA Medal Finals. Valkyrie will be sending Grace/Wolf (Prechildren's), Melissa/Louie (Short Stirrup), Ally/Serene (Short Stirrup) and Sarah/Coby (Prechildren's). Laurie/Keepers hope to participate in the Westbrook Show Jumper Division on Sunday as well.

Both Leanne/Hank and Marlene/Jasmine also qualified, but unfortunately are unable to participate.

Melissa and Louie deserve a big congratulations for winning the overall Short/Long combined division Championship at last Sunday's show, way to go Melissa. Ally/Serene won the hack and along with Lauren/Oz, they took home their share of the ribbons. Melissa and Cali brought home the blue and red respectively in the flat equitation. Congratulations to everyone.

A huge congratulations to Sara Gonzalez with her fourth place finish at the CHJA Children's Medal finals last weekend! Both Sara/Oliver and Grace/Wolf pinned very well in the schooling hunters on the previous day, earning a 2nd and 3rd respectively in a huge, 52 participant class. Grace also placed 6th out of 38 in the modified children's hunter. Excellent show girls! Also congratulations to Michael/Marcus with their very good performance, just missing the call back in a huge Adult Medal class by only a few points.  Jessica Lipponen competed in the CHJA pony medal and did well for her first time at that final.  

Valkyrie would love to congratulate Jesse Nestor for winning the Junior medal! Jesse grew up riding at VEC and is a big part of our community.
